About the Role
Our Practice Development and Quality team, based at Greenslopes, have an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician to join them as a Learning and Development Consultant.
Your main responsibility in this role is to facilitate the sustainability of clinical care learning within Spiritus Community and Aged Care by carrying out professional development activities for community and aged care staff, including skills gap analysis, development of training units, delivery of training and assessment of competencies. This role contributes to the provision of exceptional quality care by ensuring services are delivered by appropriately skilled and trained staff.
In addition you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring that learning and development activities are relevant and responsive to identified practice development needs;
- These needs align within the agreed Learning and Development framework;
- Implement a Learning and Development plan and calendar for Community and Aged Care; and
- Managing clinical portfolios. These will be determined and delegated based on identified needs of our clients.
To be successful your will be required to have:
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills;
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia;
- Ability to demonstrate and apply contemporary nursing practice and clinical skills in a clinical setting;
- Experience in education and staff development and knowledge of adult learning principles and methodologies, including hands on experience in delivering training to a broad range of individuals with varying skill and education levels;
- Post-graduate qualification in adult and/or continuing education or currently studying towards;
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or willingness to obtain;
- High level IT skills in relevant Microsoft Office programs; and
- Ability to travel as required to designated service delivery areas across Queensland.
An interest or experience in Dementia Care would be highly considered.
