About the Role
Our Spiritus Mission Department has an opportunity for a dedicated individual to join their Pastoral Care team to provide and coordinate Pastoral Care services to residents and staff at Neilson Home, located at Greenslopes.
The hours of work are four (4) hours per week and to be completed on one morning and will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
The major responsibility of the post is to coordinate and ensure the provision of spiritual and pastoral care at Neilson Home within Spiritus.
To be successful in this role, you will be required to have:
- Qualifications and experience in a pastoral care/hospital/community care setting;
- Eligibility for membership of Spiritual Care Australia (SCA);
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- An ability to manage and provide appropriate pastoral care team co-ordination;
- Basic theological and spiritual formation;
- Active participation within a local community of faith; and
- A demonstrated ability to provide a high standard of pastoral care to the elderly.
You will also be required to hold and maintain a National Police Certificate or be eligible to obtain one prior to commencing employment.
